I love Coke, I also quite like King Ken creator James Jarvis. This amazing UK artist has teamed up with Coke to create a series of can designs inspired by his Amos line of toys.

If you've never heard of James Jarvis and you collect vinyl toys (is this likely?) then I recommend you check his YOD and Martin figures out, along of course with King Ken.

I promised myself that this year I would showcase some of my favourite artists. This weekend I'm looking at Aaron Horkey from Windom, Minnesoata.
Horkey began his illustration career at the age of 10. This isn't some romanticised version of his life, he actually sent some designs to a temporary tattoo company who were unaware of his young age and he hasn't looked back since.
His father is a professional woodcutter and his mother is a painter/illustrator. This rich artisan heritage has evidently had a strong influence on his style, the attention to detail in Horkey's work is just astounding.
Horkey has designed concert posters and artwork for a number of bands. His long list of clients includes INIT Records, Cougar Den, Flip Skateboards, Playge, The Blinding Light, ISIS, Converge, Neurosis, Boris, Andrew Bird, Grails, Genghis Tron, Spitfire Wheels, SOS Press, Fat Possum Records, Deathwish INC, Hydra Head Records, Bruce Horkey's Wood and Parts, Agenda, Big Brain Comics, Cable, Flight of the Conchords, Mogwai, Ride Snowboards, Magic Bullet Records, Khanate and 420X10 Records.
You can find his official website here. There's not much going on there at the moment but you can sign up to his newsletter.
You can buy giclee prints of his work at Richard Goodall Gallery here.
Here's a selection of my favourite pieces by Horkey
